Last year, the shelter had expressed dismay that Ice had no adoption interest. They described Ice as a goofy boy who enjoys lounging and playing, but he was best suited to a home with no other dogs.

Fast forward to August 4 and the person meant to be Ice’s owner committed to bringing him home.

  1. Thank goodness the dog was at either a no kill shelter or with a rescue. He certainly would have been put to sleep at a regular shelter. Some are killed without hours of arriving even know a shelter may claim they keep them for 3 -5 days. Adopt don’t shop. And pet stores should be made banned nationwide as some cities have recently done. The only place to adopt should be at your local shelter. No more breeders, puppy/kitten mills and backyard breeders looking to make a buck.
