New York City, NY – A dog stolen from a homeless man who was sleeping on a Bronx subway train has been found and reunited with his guardian. The dog, Roc, was taken from his owner, Charles Williams, on Sunday and someone turned the dog into the police Thursday morning.
As reported by the New York Daily News, whoever dropped Roc off at the 44th Precinct did not stick around to talk to the police. Williams is overjoyed to have his companion back.
He expressed gratitude for the police, and the person who brought his best friend back, saying:
“He’s my companion. He’s my best friend. He’s my family. I can’t go without him. If the person that took him decided to bring him back, he did the right thing. I thank the cops for doing their job, a diligent job, in finding him.”

He’s probably a Veteran. I wish they would house him and give him a part time job so he can get off the streets. Not everyone who is homeless is a drug addict. This old guy is alright !! 🙂 Be Safe and Prayers for you, Charlie.
Happy reunited!
Keep them both safe. It’s a good man who loves his dog that much. The poor pup has certainly been through a lot. Neither is living the better life they deserve.
I’m glad they were reunited. Poor man.
