Devore, California – A gorgeous German shepherd is in dire need of help at the San Bernardino County Devore animal shelter. The year-old dog, dubbed Elowen, entered the facility on February 6 as a stray.
During her time at the shelter, nobody has come to claim her as their own, and she has developed an upper respiratory infection. Sadly, Elowen is now considered “urgent” and her time is running short.
Notes on her adoption profile outline her condition:
Medical Notes
02/19/26 Observed coughing w/ dilute green nasal discharge. Dog is BAR, eating and drinking wnl. Med adopt/OVH deposit.
– Doxy 100mg 2.5 tab po SID x 7 days w/ food
– 1 Cough tab po BID x 5 days
This gorgeous pup deserves a chance. She should be living in a home, with an owner who adores her. Instead, she is trapped in a kennel run – fighting an illness without the touch of a familiar hand, or the reassurance from a loved one’s voice.
Please help Elowen find her way to a real home before her time runs out. Networking saves lives and simply sharing her story may be the difference between her life, or her death.
