Firefighters Rescue Kittens Accidentally Buried Alive Beneath Concrete

Houston, TX – Firefighters in Houston saved a litter of kittens who were accidentally buried alive beneath concrete at an apartment complex. As reported by News 4 San Antonio, workers dug a hole while working at the Rockridge Station Apartments.

Unbeknownst to the crew, a pregnant cat entered the hole when they were not there and she had a litter of kittens. When the crew returned to cover the hole with concrete, they had no idea that there was a cat family accidentally being buried alive.

In the early morning hours of October 17, the Houston Fire Department was called out to rescue the trapped feline family. Firefighters broke up the concrete to free the litter from their “tomb.”

The family was taken to Harris County Animal Control for care after being saved.
