Fire And Rescue Team Saves Elderly Dog From Home’s HVAC System

Fairfax County, VA – An elderly dog, with a penchant for exploration and adventure, found herself in need of assistance after getting trapped in her family’s home HVAC system.

Days ago, the Fairfax County Police posted about the situation on X, writing:

Yippee-Ki-Yay, First responders to the rescue! With a seamless plan of action, a Sawzall and assistance from 🚒 @ffxfirerescue, a 17-year-old Shih Tzu was saved from an HVAC air vent.

The mischievous pooch was removed from the venting unscathed and handed back to her grateful family. The police quipped:

This dog has watched her favorite Christmas movie, ‘Die Hard’ way too many times!

Great job rescuers!
