Final Plea Issued For Fluffy Husky, Charlie, Overlooked At Busy California Shelter

Downey, CA – The final plea has been issued on behalf of a young husky named Charlie. The three-year-old dog has been at the Los Angeles County Animal Control – Downey facility since March 2.

On Wednesday, Charlie’s advocate wrote:

Final Plea sent today 4/4/23
Charlie is only 53 pounds, but because he’s a big puff ball beauty, he looks bigger then he is. Charlie, stands out, he is front and center at his kennel, calm, cool collect and he gives you a bright beautiful look, that is very welcoming and friendly . The minute I saw him, he bedazzled me.

Offering pertinent, life-saving information:

He deserves a wonderful home, please help him.

  1. I wish all shelters were no kill- why kill such a young healthy dog. It’s a shame especially since he has just been there since March2. Don’t think they are trying too hard to advertise his presence there. Seems this place takes the easy way out and I will bet this is just the tip of the iceberg. Be curious to know how many animals this bunch have killed in the last month alone. Has to be a better way of dealing with this.Must have hearts of stone.
