Chesterfield, SC – A young dog at the Chesterfield Animal Shelter has given up hope of being saved. The three-year-old dog, dubbed Lucy, was rescued from a hoarding situation and taken to the animal shelter where she delivered a litter of puppies.
Because of the stressful environment, all of Lucy’s puppies died. It is clear that Lucy is broken inside.
A social media post made on Lucy’s behalf reveals the depth of her despair:
I met Lucy today at the Chesterfield Co. shelter today and could about feel my heart breaking right in my chest.
Lucy is approximately three years old and came from a hoarding situation. She is completely shut down, so much so she won’t even lift her head. 💔
She is so terrified and so shut down, the shelter is no place for this innocent little girl who has clearly been dealt a crappy hand in life. From hoarding to the shelter, no wonder she has zero hope.
Information about Lucy:
✨3 years old, 28lbs
