Dog Picked Up As A Stray Is Shaking In Terror At Shelter

Gardena, CA – A young dog who was picked up as a stray and taken to the Carson Animal Services facility in Gardena, California, is shaking in terror at the shelter facility. Heartbreaking video reveals this dog’s overwhelming fear.

On Wednesday morning, the Saving Carson Shelter Dogs Facebook page posted a video of the stray dog, and provided adoption information:

This fluff ball is about a year old and he came into the shelter as a stray, please share.
#A5586289 I’m an approximately 1-year-old male Poodle Mini. I am not yet neutered. I have been at the Carson Animal Care Center since 10/3. I will be available on 10/7. You can visit me at my temporary home at C324.

This dog’s reaction is sadly common. Animal shelters are overwhelming – the kennel runs, smells, and people are unfamiliar and the non-stop barking from other distressed dogs causes extreme stress.

You can help this unfortunate pup out by sharing his adoption information.

  1. The shelter is a problem. It’s overcrowded and is a high kills shelter. Plus in the photo, it appears there’s no bedding, blankets or toys for the dog’s comfort. Having bedding and a quieter environment is key to making animals feel safe. Since he is a small dog and cute, let’s hope someone adopts him.

  2. I live in Maryland, but I adopted my dog from Carson shelter in California. At the time, there were 26 German Shepherds on death row, to be euthanized in the next few days.It wasn’t easy, or cheap to adopt a dog from out of state, but getting these dogs out of California is the best way to save their lives! Every shelter in the L.A. California area is overflowing with abandoned young great animals! Every rescue & every foster is overloaded with animals. Same with Texas, GA, Fla, Louisiana. The best way to help is to FOSTER A CAT OR DOG! Or, of course adopt! If you are interested in adopting from this shelter, Google “Carson Shelter, Gardena, California”. That should give you all shelter info, along with the volunteer pages on Instagram & Facebook. Scan the comments on these pages to find people willing to help you navigate out of state adoptions, and other red tape situations. There are are many people like myself who spend hours online trying to find suitable homes for these animals. They all deserve a chance!

  3. Poor wee dog no comfortable bedding, toys or love. It’s so distressing to see a beautiful wee dog having such an awful time at the shelter. It never ceases to amaze me how a young dog like this ends up in a shelter. If I were in he USA I would love to adopt this little sweetheart but I live in Scotland 😢😭surely someone must be missing this wee sweetheart 😭😢😭

  4. The Government doesn’t do anything to help these God’s creatures as this Pathetic Parasite Trump took away all laws to protect wildlife and now there is no protection for any animal. We are becoming a third world country it’s shameful and outrageous how my Country has been decaying thru the years. What ever happened to our morals, empathy respect for all living beings ! The Devil keeps on recluting his people and these Demons walk amongst us !!! THESE ARE GOD’S CREATURES AND THEY DESERVE BETTER 💔
