Las Vegas, Nevada – The dog who was abandoned earlier this month at the Harry Reid International airport in Las Vegas has been adopted. The two-year-old dog, dubbed Jet Blue after being left at a JetBlue ticket counter, was adopted by one of the Las Vegas Metro Police officers who participated in his original rescue.
The Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas group took the golden doodle under its wing and after reviewing hundreds of adoption applications, placed him with LVMPD Officer Skeeter Black and his family.
On Saturday, LVMPD let Facebook followers know that Jet Blue had a new home:
LVMPD Officer Skeeter Black and his family had been working to adopt a golden doodle since September 2025 through Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas. After already being approved months ago, they were selected as Jet Blue’s new forever home.
The outpouring of support from our community throughout this situation has been overwhelming, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped ensure this pup received the care and compassion he deserved.
Bon voyage, Jet Blue and welcome to a new life where you’ll be loved beyond words by Officer Black and his family. ❤️
Jet Blue’s former owner, 26-year-old Germiran Bryson, faces misdemeanor counts including animal abandonment, animal abuse, resisting a public officer, and providing false statements.

This is a wonderful outcome to a disgusting situation. That pup is so much better off now and will have the loving home that was always deserved rather than being with a creep who would abandon him. Wonderful to hear that the family was going through the process for adopting a rescue. Seems like it was meant to be. Go have your best life Jet Blue!
