Shelton, CT – On Wednesday morning, a critically injured dog was discovered at a construction site on Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton. According to the Shelton Animal Control agency, the construction crew found the dog around 5 a.m. and brought him indoors to try and warm him.
In a social media post, the agency said:
This poor dog was found soaking wet at 5 am. He was left in cage at the construction site at 1055 Bridgeport Avenue. When we arrived the kind men working at the site brought him in the building and used their own clothes to try and keep him warm.
The abandoned dog was rushed to a veterinary hospital where x-rays revealed multiple pelvis fractures and “other injuries.” Tragically, the dog was paralyzed and in extreme pain and the decision was made to humanely euthanize him to end his suffering.
Animal Control is hoping to find out who is responsible for hurting and/or abandoning this dog. If anyone has any information on who may have done this please contact the agency at (203)924-2501 press 2
