Fayette County, Georgia – A couple, some may say a couple who isn’t bright, is facing charges for abandoning their dog, Blu, outside the Fayette County Water and Sewer Department building. Kenneth Beshers, and his wife, Johanna Payne, abandoned Blu with food, water, and a deceptive note stating the dog was homeless after the death of his owner.
The note said, “My name is Blu. My owner and I spent 4 1/2 years together. But he died. I don’t have anyone else to take care of me. Thanks.”
But Blu’s owner did not die. The couple took a trip to Maui and opted to abandon their dog with a heart wrenching note designed to garner sympathy. The couple was tripped up when Blu was scanned for a microchip, and low and behold, he had one leading right back to his owner.
Surveillance video outside the building where Blu was abandoned showed Beshers and Payne dumping their pet with the food and sob-story note. The authorities tried to contact the couple, but they were already soaking up the sun in Maui.
The post-vacation blues hit a bit differently for the 73-year-old couple, who were arrested and charged upon their return home. Both are facing misdemeanor charges for animal cruelty and abandoning a dog. Blu is being cared for at the Fayette County Animal shelter, and he will be available for adoption after the case wraps up, reports Fox 5 Atlanta.

What a couple of dipshits. They actually forgot about the microchip. It would be hilarious if it weren’t so sad.
Oh, and of course it’s Georgia, just like the ghetto couple who just got arrested for beating the shit out of one dog and the life out of another.
I am so disappointed in these people. I would like to know why they got an animal in the first place. Just low-life’s. And all hey had to do was take him to the animal shelter. Would not cost them a dime.
Don’t tell me I can’t ‘Docs’. If justice is absent, we are the victims of these monsters. Be advised, we are fully present, and Justice cannot tell us how to ‘feel’.
Any one and ALL INDIVIDUALS that harm abuse torture and/or murder the life of another REGARDLESS OF THEIR INDIVIDUAL FORM deserves justice!!! A LIFE FOR A LIFE! So sick and tired of humans in POWER not seeking TRUE JUSTICE FOR THE ABUSE TORTURE AND/OR KILLING OF INNOCENT LIVES! WE ARE THEIR VOICE!!!

I hope their “friends and neighbors” treat them like they treated poor Blu! They had enough money to vacation in Maui but were too SELFISH to provide shelter and food tp their pet.
Imaging those two heartless fools brainstorming, coming up with that plan. They could have done far worse of course, but how the hell does someone have a dog and not love/respect him/her enough to keep, care for and protect forever? Most people make a shameful mistake or few, but not to this selfish extent, and we suffer the guilt and vow to always do far better. I hope that pair forever regrets their “good times” in Maui. It’s the dog who should be in a great home now, and those two in cages at the animal “shelter” til the case wraps up.
Disgusting selfish humans. I would have loved to see the looks on their faces when they returned home and were arrested. The pup deserves so much better than losers like this. I hope the human trash responsible get to experience abandonment like this.
