Cougar Spotted In Same Area Where Missing Zebra Was Last Seen

North Bend, WA – Washingtonians are having a field day making memes and funny photoshops with the missing zebra that escaped from a trailer last weekend, but there are concerns that the runaway stallion is in danger.

As reported by My Northwest, a cougar has been spotted on the same trail cam that captured the last footage of the roaming zebra. “I have no idea if a cougar would go after a zebra or not, but they definitely go after deer,” Joe, a North Bend resident, told KIRO Newsradio.

Making matters worse, a bear has been seen on the same trail cam.

This solo zebra has the odds stacked against him…he is not part of a herd and he is in an environment completely foreign to him. Residents and animal control agencies are doing their utmost to locate him before a predator does.

Four zebras escaped from a trailer on Sunday afternoon. Three of the zebras were corralled and captured, but the stallion ran off. The animal services agency advises the public NOT to chase if the zebra is spotted. Instead, any sightings should be reported to RASKC at 206-296-7387 or your local law enforcement at 911.
