Animal Services Searching For Missing Zebra Stallion In Washington State

Update: A resident’s trail cam captured the missing zebra near North Bend just before noon on Monday. Watch the video on X here.

King County, WA – On Monday afternoon, an unusual plea for help was made by Regional Animal Services of King County. The agency reached out to the public to help find a missing zebra stallion that escaped from a trailer on Sunday.

The agency explains:

Have you seen a zebra? 🦓 We’re looking for one.
On Sunday, RASKC animal control officers were called out near North Bend after a report of four zebras wandering on I-90. They had escaped from a trailer while on their way to Montana.

A total of four zebras escaped on Sunday afternoon, but three were corralled and captured.

Unfortunately, the remaining stallion is still on the loose. The animal services agency advises the public NOT to chase if the zebra is spotted. Instead, any sightings should be reported to RASKC at 206-296-7387 or your local law enforcement at 911.

  1. He looks terrified and so did the others who ESCAPED that trailer. People have no business keeping zebras outside of their natural habitats; just one more animal species for people to make life/death hell for as “pets.”
