Bonded Shepherds Searching For A New Home Following Death Of Owner

Harbor Springs, MI – Two bonded German shepherds will not spend the holidays this year with their owner. According to the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society, the dogs are in need of a new home following the death of their owner.

On Wednesday, the animal welfare agency explained their situation, writing:

We have a special ask. You know how much we love keeping pets with their owners. Sometimes, that just can’t happen. These beautiful sisters have lived with each other their whole life. Their owner, who recently passed away, had one wish – to keep these girls together.

The shelter will step up to help these bonded shepherds if someone comes forward to foster them. The organization said:

If we can find a foster, we will save these beauties! Do you have space for Skye and Sam to hang with you temporarily until they find a forever home or we have space open up? Please contact Shannon at 231-347-2396 as soon as possible so that we can say YES to saving these gorgeous dogs.

The dogs have been well cared for their entire life. They are spayed, microchipped, and up to date on their medical care.

Note: All inquiries about these dogs must be made directly to the animal shelter. Animal Victory is not the point of contact and has no affiliation with these dogs, or this facility.
