Grays Harbor County, Washington – Wildlife officials have reached out to the public help identify whoever shot and stabbed a cow elk, leaving her body covered with a camo netting in a Grays Harbor County soccer field. According to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, a citizen found a dead elk, covered in camo netting, in a soccer field at the Bishop Athletic Complex near Aberdeen early Saturday morning.
The agency said, “The elk was found to have been shot in the spine and then stabbed with a knife. No meat was harvested from the animal.”
Wildlife officials are hopeful that someone will contact them with information:

Adding, “Those who provide information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward or bonus points for special permit hunting opportunities.”
