San Diego County, CA – A three-month-old puppy named Zoe required expert help after falling between two large boulders in Ramona, California. According to San Diego County Fire, Zoe’s owner reached out for assistance after determining that the terrified pup could not be removed without professional help.
The agency said:
Firefighters from USAR 12 Deer Springs and Engine 82 Ramona responded to the scene and used pneumatic air bags to move the boulders just enough to create space for rescue. Using ropes, hoses, and a whole lot of heart, the crews worked together to carefully pull Zoe from the crevice and bring her to safety.

The rescuers were eventually met with success and little Zoe was safely reunited with her grateful owner. The department writes:
Zoe was reunited with her grateful owner, tail wagging and spirits high. We’re so glad this “ruff” situation had a happy ending for everyone involved!
