$5000 Reward: Dog Dies After Legs are Bound and He is Drowned

Stamford, CT – A $5000 reward is being offered for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of whoever is responsible for killing a dog found drowned in the Czescik marina area. According to the Stamford Police Department, the deceased dog’s front and rear legs were bound with a shoe lace, and he was purposefully drowned.

In a release, the authorities stated:

On Tuesday, May 2nd at approximately 3:00pm Officers from the Animal Control division were alerted to a deceased canine in the Czescik marina area. Upon arrival Animal Control Officers discovered that the animal’s front and hind legs were bound together with a shoe lace. In a cowardly act the canine was then placed in the water by the suspect and ultimately drowned.

The dog, described as a black and white seven-year-old male pit bull, had no other injuries, but was malnourished.

The authorities have an open investigation into this heinous crime. The police said, “Please be alert if you have seen this dog in the past and pass on any information assisting us in this investigation.”
