Update: Gem has been adopted!
Devore, CA – On October 16, a beautiful German shepherd was picked up as a stray and taken to the San Bernardino County – Devore Shelter. Though the dog, dubbed Gem, was obviously someone’s pet, nobody came to get her.
Recently, an advocate visited the Devore shelter and met sweet Gem. In a social media post, they said:
I walked into Devore Shelter and Gem stole my heart…literally snatched from my chest. Despite the chaos, barking, and uncertainty – Gem sat in her kennel like a perfect regal older gal. We must get her to safety.
Gem has soulful, knowing eyes – she knows that she is somewhere that she shouldn’t be, but her situation is out of her control.
Please help save this gentle soul from a sad and unfair fate. Networking saves lives!
