14 Dogs Rescued From Deplorable Conditions – Two People Arrested

Martin County, FL – This week, 14 dogs were seized from a home where they were being kept in deplorable, cruel conditions. According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, dogs and puppies were being kept in small cages and wooden structures at a home located at 937 SE Spruce Street in Stuart.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Animal Services Unit along with the Martin County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division seized the dogs and arrested 47-year old Rosetta Saez and 19-year old Daniel Alajahaum Wilson. Saez, the homeowner, claimed that she had “no idea” what was happening in her own backyard.

Wilson told the authorities that he breeds and sells the dogs.

Fortunately, the seized dogs and puppies will not be returned to Wilson or Saez. The authorities said,

The dogs were seized and taken to the our community partners at the Humane Society of the Treasure Cost, where they are receiving medical attention and proper care. The dogs were officially signed over to the Humane Society, eliminating any chance that they will be taken back to the home.
