Devore, California – A petite shepherd mix is being held at the Devore Shelter in San Bernardino County. The two-year-old dog, Rexie, has been at the facility since February 26 and in the time that has passed, nobody has come to ask about her, and nobody has stepped up to give her a home.
Now, Rexie has an upper respiratory infection and rather than recovering in the comfort of a home, she is alone in her kennel run and on the “urgent” list of dogs who must exit the facility or face euthanasia.
Time is of the essence to save this young dog’s life. Please network on her behalf, before she is gone forever.
If you can help Rexie, please act immediately.

Why isn’t she getting care for her cold/respiratory infection??! Help this sweet girl. Please???
I was about to burst into tears but her profile on the shelter website indicates that she has been rescued. Yay for Rexie!
I live in Florida, but somebody has a heart in California that will take that dog provide a good home life for her. She looks so pitiful & sad. These animals deserve so much better I hope somebody will respond.!!🙏🙏
What bothers me to no end, is that when an animal gets sick in a shelter, it’s immediately put on the euthanasia list, death row. You just disgust me!! You should be ashamed of yourselves!! You’re committing murder just because an animal, a baby, gets sick!
This is a repIy, and so I hope it Lands where I intended.
If onIy more peopIe knew what I have Iearned about vaccines starting many decades ago. There is absoIuteIy no proof that they prevent any diseases, based on the history that has been deliberateIy hidden (and repIaced with industry propaganda)., but there is pIenty of evidence (aIso hidden) that they cause disease (how many of us have reared the ingredients and then researched what those ingredients do? I incIuded Iinks at one time, but they’re not aIIowed. I Iost pound rescue dog because they insisted on slamming him with aII the vaccines, pIus subject him to neuter surgery at the same time whiIe he was extremeIy emaciated, pIus the dogs are given tap water and nasty “food.”
And then, of course, is the unhealthy nature of the impounds environment. (Don’t get me started on when and why they renamed their faciIites to “sheIters” in order to improve their coIIective image).
Why are these pIaces acting as “cIean up” operations rather than working with city county, and state officials aggressiveIy prosecute breeders?
Why? Because if breeders (or even just the worst of them–puppy mills) were all put out of business, where would they all go to work every day and make good money off imprisoning and killing precious dogs and others? That is, aside from MAKING THEM SICK by assaulting their systems with a barrage of vaccines, so that they can be more quickly executed when they get “colds.”
Help find her and the others homes as they are short on funding and long on pets as they are bursting at the seems looking for good homes. Advocate for spay and neuter for people who allow their pets to breed and then they place ads on Nextdoor selling or giving them away. I paid out of pocket to spay 10 neighbors cats and their kittens while I was low income, had cancer and caring for my toddler grandchild while her single parent mother worked full time and went to college. It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.
KDWB.
I spent my youth aII the way into oId age rescuing, neutering, and placing arimaIs. At the same time, I worked on the inside of city governments, whistIebIowing. In the earIy days the impounds were openIy seIIing dogs and cats to vivisection Iabs, so I was aIso bailing out as many animaIs as I couId, whiIe working to expose the criminaI activity, and fighting vivisection.
I wiII repeat that the vast majority of these department heads in the animaI regulation fieId are not there because they care about animaIs. They personaIIy receive Iarge salaries, whiIe what is spent on saving animaIs is reIativeIy Iow. City and county poIiticians don’t care, either. I’ve batted with them at the council meetings, and I Iearned iabout kickbacks.
This needs to be addressed and fought at the IeveI where it originates, or eIse peopIe Iike us wiII continue to give individuaIs in power free Iicense to spend our tax doIIars as they pIease, whiIe we try to do what THEY SHOULD be doing – preventing this mess.
There are organizations like C-5 and others do trap spay neuter for free then release them back to the sane spot. At least Gerald not gonna multiply more feral kittens.
someone PLEASE HELP ROXIE! She should not DIE because she is mildly sick!! I am too far away to help personally but will SHARE her everywhere!!! Praying for her now!!!
prayers 🙏
