Jurupa Valley, CA – A year-old German shepherd is on the euthanasia list at the Riverside County Animal Control for “nasal discharge.” The death sentence comes after weeks at the facility with no interest.
At a year of age, the pup, dubbed Alabama, is past the fuzzy, adorable stage that adopters seek. Six months ago, she was precocious puppy full of mischievous antics and a desire to learn. Nine months ago, she was a fuzzy butterball who loved to snuggle…a puppy that most people would happily scoop up for cuddles.
But now, at 12 months of age, Alabama is just another throw away dog who is about to be euthanized through no fault of her own. A dog who has contracted a virus at the animal shelter and for that offense, she will likely die.
A gorgeous dog, intelligent and FULL of life, will be put to death despite her desire to be loved and cared for.
Please share Alabama’s adoption information. This dog deserves to live out the remainder of her life. She deserves to love and be loved. She deserves to play, snuggle and be a beloved companion.

I know more than one person has read this, and why don’t they put something on the board for this beautiful dog which has a SOUL!!!!!!!!!! That means the dog is like she is human, but she is an animal with a SOUL that loves humans!! HOW can anyone pass this up?? I am on the opposite side of the U.S. and I read these things about dogs and I wonder if there is ANYONE at all with money to feed the dog and to have as a GREAT companion, could resist adopting this dog BEFORE she dies at 1 YR. OLD!!!! ISN’T THERE ANYONE THAT WILL ADOPT HER, that is all she wants, is love and she gives back so much more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am in NC and I am sure there is someone between here and there that can save a life. Come on people. HUMANITY IS NOT TERMINAL. Someone can save a life. It may even save yours.
I think the smart thing to do is to put humans to sleep. They are the ones causing the problem. The innocent beings had no choice in being here. Besides….this human species is going to hell in a bushel basket anyway.

What! For a nasal discharge. That’s dumb. All they had to do is take the German Shepherd to the Vet to have them to look at it and it can be treated with medications. Someone got to adopt that sweet German Shepherd and Take that dog off the euthanize list asap. Most shelters have vet on site at the shelters. My Thumbs Down to California. Build a No Kill Shelters.

Put the German Shepherd in another shelter that has No Kill shelters or Call German Shepherds Rescue Group that can take the Dog in. Call any state that can take the Dog in like Oregon or Washington. There are German Rescue in another state.
