Los Angeles, California – A California woman is mourning the loss of her beloved puppy, Kilo, who died at a Los Angeles training facility. The Samoyed pup was just a few days into his training when his owner, Trish Mayor, got a call that he had passed away.
On a GoFundMe fundraiser, the tragedy that claimed the 11-month-old pup’s life is described:
Kilo was sent to a k9school for training, and just three days later Trish received the devastating news that he had died. She was told Kilo suffered a heart attack after being left alone in a crate for four hours in 85-degree heat. Even more painful, the trainer did not seek veterinary help and only contacted Trish the next day to tell her to come pick up Kilo’s body. Kilo did not even make it to his first birthday, and no dog or family should have to suffer a loss like this because of careless treatment.
The fundraiser states that the money will be used for a necropsy to determine the actual cause of death for Kilo.

This is not only the fault of a TERRIBLE facility that needs to have its ass sued and shut down and a God-awful trainer who should be fired and never allowed to be in this business again.
But also – that poor dog’s owner was not competent to have this kind of dog as a pet. She KNEW the dog had never been crated before and KNEW the dog had anxiety issues and couldn’t be alone – sounds like she was totally incapable of handling this dog and wanted someone else to do the work SHE should have been doing, but thats not how this works. There have been enough bad stories of trainers killing or abusing dogs – why would anyone take their animal to these people?
PROSECUTE, Your dog was Willfully Abandonded and left to Die. PROSECUTE.
That kind of training is bullshit. The owner needs to be involved in training at all level levels.
You know someone will be getting their ass kicked if that happened to my dog. You should probably tell the public what training facility did this.
This is unacceptable and the people responsible must be prosecuted. The dog shoukld never have been crated in that type of situation and Heat.
I fail to understand people who send their pets off to training like this, especially for days at a time. The trainer should be shut down and never allowed to train again. Put the trainer in a crate out in the heat for a day so they know how it feels. Bless that poor pup who suffered because of several humans, one who made a poor decision to start with and the other who should face criminal charges.

I feel so bad for this pup and the owner. This camp needs to pay for what they’ve done (even though nothing would be even close to losing a beloved pet).
They need to be closed down immediately and for good.

They need to be held accountable! I would not only sue, I would seek animal abuse and neglect charges! There is no excuse for any of that! Put them in a crate in the heat! He had a heart attack from heat exhaustion!!!! I would seek charges be made against the company and the trainer! They need to be criminally charged and prosecuted for this!

From what I have Iearned over the past severaI decades, I wouId not Ieave my dog at any “training” or boarding facility.
This! Only abusers, lazy or/and stupid humans forse they dog to go “training camps” . If you can’t train your dog positive way, don’t have time for training like normal humans do when they go daily walks with their dogs, playing in parks etc.(learning should be fun for every living being not american milirary cjild/ankmal abuse “training”!)..Then don’t get pet. Instead put yourself in therapy so they “rase” and “teatch” your lazy, stupid, abusive personality more responsable, humane, empathic and intelligent living being.

Crated in 85° heat with a thick coat of fur…that trainer deserves to burn in hell!! The company needs to be put out of business. They don’t deserve to be around animals if that’s their level of care.
