Woman’s Missing Cat Found Alive In Car Grill Miles From Home

A woman's missing cat was discovered in the grill of a car, 40 miles from his home.

U.K. – A woman’s missing cat was discovered alive in the grill of a car…miles away from his home in Sunderland. The cat was unharmed after traveling 40 miles in the car’s engine compartment.

With the help of JJ’s Cat and Kitten Rescue, the five-year-old cat, Charlie, was reunited with his owner, Laura Carroll. Over the weekend, the rescue group posted an image of the lucky cat, writing:

This cat has been trapped in the grill of a car, now safe with us. Unfortunately no chip. Could possibly be from the Sunderland area? Could we get as many shares as possible please to reunite it with its family? Proof of ownership will be required.

Carroll saw the post, responding, “That’s my boy! Can I come through & get him now?”

Charlie’s owner had utilized social media when he disappeared, posting his image and writing:

Missing since last night from Grangetown…he is a house cat and has never been outside for a long period of time.

After being checked for possible injuries (with none being found!) Charlie was able to travel back home to his family.
