Maui – A woman shared an emotional reunion with a cat who disappeared nearly three years ago. The Maui Humane Society explains that Anna’s cat, Hyssy, vanished years ago and even with the help of a community trapper, he was nowhere to be found.
Fast forward to January 2024…the long-lost cat was found.
When Anna and her husband learned that Hyssy was captured, they rushed to the shelter. Even after the passage of time, the cat “recognized them right away.”
Anna is still missing cats who disappeared during the deadly Maui wildfires last August. The animal shelter is hopeful that their team will be able to reunite Anna with the rest of her beloved cats.
