Alexandria, Virginia – A tiny kitten, just four and six weeks of age, was rescued after being tossed out of a moving vehicle on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. According to the Maryland National Capital Park Police, a good Samaritan saw the frightening situation and was able to flag down an officer in the area.
As reported by Fox 5 News, Maryland National Capitol Park Police Corporal Christi Montgomery was able to coax the kitten off a narrow ledge with the help of some enticing cat food. Montgomery commented on the harrowing situation the kitten was facing, “Three feet different, it never would have lived,” she said. “It would have gone into the river. He was so scared. I was scared, but he’s ok.”

The kitten was taken to Prince George’s County Animal Shelter for care.
