Terrified Dog Completely Shut Down At California Shelter

Modesto, CA – A terrified dog is so overwhelmed at the Stanislaus Animal Services Agency that she has shut down. The husky, dubbed Rosie, is doing everything she can to disappear in her shelter kennel.

Her advocate writes:

As you can see Rosie has completely shut down. To be honest I’ve never seen a dog shut down this much.
Rosie lays frozen in fear and just stares at the wall hoping to disappear. She literally doesn’t react to a single thing, just tries to make herself as small as possible.

Suffice it to say, if Rosie makes it out of this shelter facility alive, she will require patience and kindness from whoever takes her in.

An end date has been placed on Rosie’s life:

🆘Euthanasia Deadline- 3/9/24

Please share Rosie’s adoption information…the clock is ticking.

    • It’s called continually making room for more and more homeless/abused animals for the convenience of dog BREEDERS.

  1. I hate to imagine the abuse Rosie has suffered, and now she’s stuck in a terrifying “shelter” and scheduled to be executed tomorrow and thrown out like trash. If not for our 4 rescue dogs and dogs all the time needing rescue here locally, I’d take Rosie and give her the Heaven she deserves. Someone, please rescue her! To hell with all dog breeders, especially puppy mills and the “pet” stores that deal with them, and the AKC which coddles them!

      • I’m 300+ miles from Modesto and plenty of dogs in my area are in need of rescue. Local people without their legal limit of dogs, or rescues near Modesto, need to step up. But most everyone is overwhelmed when it comes to homeless dogs.

    • NOTE: I double-checked the site again, and while Rosie has been RESCUED, rescued is not adopted. But at least she is safe and won’t be euthanized, and hopefully, will be given the help and attention she needs to find a forever home.

Whoever dumped this dog at the shelter deserves to fry in the flames of hell.
