Chicago, IL – A lonesome puppy has a fully tummy, cozy bed, and is safe today thanks to an observant shelter worker who spotted him trying to stay warm on a discarded mattress. According to PAWS Chicago, the staff member spotted “a little face hiding in a pile of garbage in an alley.”
That little face belonged to a six-month-old puppy dubbed Oscar. The shelter writes:
A little nervous but unbelievably sweet, she brought Oscar back to our Medical Center for a big bowl of food and a real bed – not a tossed out mattress – where he could be safe and warm.
Oscar spent a stray hold with us, but with no collar, no microchip, and no owner stepping forward, he’s officially joined the PAWS family 💛
