Miami, FL – A visitor at the Humane Society of Miami was heartbroken to learn that a senior dog named Jones had spent nearly three years of his life there. The Eric & Joey Instagram account posted a video of the nearly 12-year-old dog with the hope that a Florida resident would see him and decide to bring him home.
According to the shelter’s biography for Jones, he was taken in on May 7, 2020. The bio reads:
This goofy boy will have you spinning with joy and laughter. Jones loves to cuddle and be right next to you at all times; he’s a loyal dude. Though he does not really act his age, Jones loves to play and take long walks. This 72-pound lover boy will be sure to put a smile to your face and brighten your days. A day with him consists of sleeping the morning away and then spending the afternoon at the park having some fun or sunbathing in the grass. He prefers to be the only fur baby, but he will be sure to show you enough love you won’t need anyone but him.

And this is why all shelters must be NO KILL. I hope this handsome boy finds a loving forever home and gets all the love and kindness he deserves.
I hope the shelter still gives him walks outside & play time.. Rather than just stay in his cage
Jonesy deserves such a great home, as all dogs do! Meanwhile, puppy breeders and mills continue on and on, laughing all the way to the bank.
Senior dogs are best! I hope Jones finds his forever home soon. He deserves to live out his life being cared for and loved!

Can’t someone or even a volunteer take the poor guy to their home at least on weekends to let him move, play, be with people at least? This is truly very sad that someone won’t take him!! Have you tried senior living places that a lonely senior would love this guy!!! Come on, someone needs to step to the plate. I took in 19 cats people dumped in my yard 20 years ago…. Please help this poor guy before he dies in there from a broken heart 💔

This made me cry for sweet Jones, this lovely boy who deserves to spend his golden years laying in front of a warm fire in winter and walking on the beach in summer, surrounded by the love of a forever family. PLEASE PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD FOR THIS SWEET BOY.
