Shelter Seeks Answers After Dead Dog Found In Trash Bag With Bed

Aliquippa, PA – A Pennsylvania animal shelter is seeking information about a deceased dog who was abandoned in Aliquippa earlier this year. As reported by CBS News, a couple discovered the dead dog in a trash bag discarded on Green Street.

The deceased dog, an adult Yorkshire terrier mix, was in the bag with a “fluffy bed” and a black and white blanket. A necropsy on the dog’s body revealed that he died from blunt force trauma to the chest.

The three-to-four-year-old dog was wearing a blue collar but did not have any identification tags. The Beaver County Humane Society is hopeful that someone in the community will come forward with information.

Samantha Scobie, humane society police officer with the Beaver County Humane Society, said:

“Any vet facilities that might have seen a dog similar to this, anything that might lead to a simple we saw a dog walking here.”

Any tips or information should be phoned in to the humane society’s investigations department at 724-775-5801 ext. 123.
