Senior Shepherd Is Losing Her Vision And Her Owner Surrendered Her To Crowded Shelter At 11 Years Of Age

Gardena, CA – In October, an 11-year-old German shepherd named Lady lost her home when her owner decided to surrender her to the Carson animal control facility in Los Angeles County.

The Saving Carson Shelter Dogs Facebook page has stated that Lady is losing her vision:

LADY is 11 years old and vision impaired and she’s been in the shelter a couple of times before but returned to her owner. Lady is super sweet and losing her Vision and she doesn’t deserve to be in the shelter.

Beautiful Lady deserves better than this. She is in the twilight of her life and she should be enjoying it with someone who loves her. Please share Lady’s adoption information and help her find the home she deserves.

  1. I have no sympathy for owners who do this kind of thing to animals that have aged and need them the most in their life. Lady deserves a loving home as her vision continues to fade. She can learn her surroundings and give just as much if not more love than other pets. Please take her home. Arrange transport if you are in another state. Lady needs a home badly. 💞🐾🐾

  2. When I lose an older animal, I think about just how PRECIOUS their love and loyalty is. It’s the kind of thing you certainly don’t find in people. But people can surely stop their hearts and end their lives with no thought to what they’ve done.

The love of an old animal is priceless… and so very special.

  3. I’m in agreement with people who despise the selfish lowlifes who rate their own happiness over the feelings and well being of their so called fur family. My dog comes first his needs would come before mine especially financially! I got health insurance for him when he was younger just because of this stuff that happens when they age!!

  4. Why hasn’t someone adopted her?
I’m in Australia with 12 rescued cats.
Can’t someone in the whole of America give her a home? Seriously?

  5. This is so beyond cruel it hurts my heart. What fucking CRUEL cunt of a person gets’ rid of a family pet that they’ve had for 11 years? Because of a health problem? Who does that? I don’t care what anyone says, there is no justification for it. Nil. Nada. So sad. Even if I was at death’s door myself with a penny to my name and on the streets, I still would not give up my dog. How disgusting of them.
