Manhattan, NY – Over a month ago, a senior cat’s life was turned upside down when her owner passed away and she was taken from her home and put into a kennel at the New York Animal Care Center in Manhattan. The 11-year-old cat, Notyette, is not doing well at the facility and she is urgently in need of “emergency placement” before the unthinkable happens.
A volunteer’s notes provide some insight into Notyette’s demeanor.
Everything is against Notyette – she is older, she is scared, she is a black cat. Nobody walks into the shelter facility seeking cats like her – they want the kittens, the young, playful, outgoing cats who approach the front of their cage and seek attention.

But Notyette deserves her happily-ever-after. She deserves that spot in the sun to stretch out and relax. She deserves the lap of a loving owner who wants nothing more than to spoil Notyette for the rest of her days.
Please share this senior cat’s information and help her find someone who will love her.
