People Have Passed Cider’s Kennel Run For More Than 600 Days, He Needs A Home

Pennsylvania – A handsome dog named Cider has been patiently waiting for someone to find him worthy of being their companion. According to the Pennsylvania SPCA, the five-year-old dog has spent nearly TWO years at their facility, and during that time, only ONE person has applied to meet him.

On Sept. 24 the shelter turned to social media to once again, plead for a home for this sweet boy, who has watched people pass him by for hundreds of days.

Cider’s adoption profile outlines his many attributes:

This big boy is all ready to go to a home where he can roll around and be the tug of war champion. When it comes to training and playtime, Cider is an A+ student, always ready to use that big brain of his. When he isn’t showing off his smarts, Cider loves hanging out with his people and napping in the sun. This happy pup will surely bring you endlessly joy and laughs, all that he asks of you is that he be the only pet in the home!

Please help Cider find a home. A person of his own. His own bed and toys. Please help end his days of being passed by.

  1. He’s the SWEETEST — THANK YOU for being the wonderful Shelter you are — continue to HOLD onto Cider — the RIGHT person must come along — be PATIENT — it’s all about TIMING — make connections each day in order to create opportunities to Foster, Hold, Adopt Animals — keep reaching out to Fosters, then those People will reach out to other Adopters — continue to get the word out — in the meantime, HOLD onto the Animals — the more GOOD & CARING People involved, the more success will come.

    • To really solve these problems: All the wealthy animal orgs. should be working tirelessly to put puppy mills totally out of business (and prosecuted for animal cruelty), and then move on to crack down severely on all “responsible” breeders too, with the goal of ending them until there is actually a severe shortage of dogs in the world (which will likely never happen).
