Omaha, Nebraska – A dog who disappeared from his family’s home last week was discovered in a dumpster on Monday morning. The dog, Leo, had been covered in duct-tape and was discarded in a dumpster outside of Sweet and Associates in Omaha.
An employee at the firm heard what she thought was a raccoon in the dumpster, but it turned out to be Leo, covered in tape around his legs and face.
Nebraska Humane Society said:
“He’s the sweetest dog! I don’t know why anyone would do this,” said Erin, who was incredibly emotional upon learning what happened. She is going to be giving him a nice bath and taking him to his vet for a full checkup.”

The dumpsters behind the business are isolated and there are no cameras in the vicinity. Anyone with information on this case is urged to contact Animal Control at 402-444-7800 ext 1.
NHS is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

I sure would show this bastard what ‘duct tape’ was all about! In fact he would be begging me to finish him. And before the do-gooders’ start moaning about this turds rights, as far as I am concerned he has none! People like this make me sick and angry. I think The Authorities Need To Take ALL the Animals in that Home and Put them in a Safe Place. Obviously, there is a Psychopath living in their House. That Poor Dog and all the other Pets are suffering and if someone had not have found that Dog, then it wouldn’t have survived. It’s probably someone who has Bi-Polar Disorder. That is probably the Biggest Reason for Most Pets being Abused or Killed at the hands of their owners. And Stop Giving Away Pets to People. Charge a Large Sum Of Money for them in the States. You may as well just kill them now if that’s the case anymore.
The reward was initially for $1000 however, I personally donated an additional $500 towards the reward fund when the initial story broke. I’m sure other donations to the reward have been received as well. Someone knows something and needs to come forward!!

I hope whomever removed the duct tape was wearing gloves and saved the tape for the police. The fingerprints of the a-hole responsible are all over it, & with any luck this pos has an arrest record.
You know it was someone in that family. Nobody “steals” a dog and duct tapes and discards it like that. This was not a torture thing this was a gat rid of the dog thing.
I agree with you, it was either someone in the family OR it was a close neighbor that knew there was NO camera where they dumped the dog!!
So with mouth, eyes and legs being ‘duct taped’ up and not being able to move or hardly breathe, and thrown in a dumpster to die an agonising death is NOT classed as torture then!!!

Law enforcement must find the person/s who did this to Leo. If they are not caught they will do it again. Such arrogance & superior mindedness is dangerous to society & community. FIND THEM! HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE for what they did to a sweet helpless dog. EVIL EXISTS!
We are truly the most dangerous and invasive species on the planet, despite the many good and caring people who exist. I will never understand how people can be so cruel and violent to nonhuman animals.
