Miracle Reunion As Cat Lost For Five Years Is Reunited With Owner

Charleston, SC – A cat named Feya is being called a “miracle cat” after being found and reunited with her owner after disappearing from her family home in Mt. Pleasant five years ago. According to the Charleston Animal Society, Feya reappeared on Johns Island on February 25…15 miles away from where she vanished years ago.

Thanks to an embedded microchip, shelter staff was able to find her owner. The contact number for Feya’s owner, Alexandra, was no longer in service, but an emergency backup for Alexandra’s sister was still active, and it was the key to making a reunion possible.

Feya showed signs of being on her own for a long time…her fur was thin, she was underweight and her paws were injured. But her memory was intact…she started purring and was clearly happy to see Alexandra when she arrived at the shelter.

Nobody knows how Feya managed to get miles away from where she disappeared, and perhaps it will remain a mystery forever.

But she is now back at home and settling in with her cat and dog siblings.

Welcome home Feya!
