Cambridgeshire, U.K. – Late last week, horror unfolded at the Johnsons Zoo in Cambridgeshire when a 30-year-old man allegedly hurled a toddler into a crocodile pit. According to sources, the man, who has not been publicly identified, did not know the three-year-old child and it is unclear what motivated him to carry out such a horrific act of violence.

The pit was said to contain 10 crocodiles. Tracey Johnson, the zoo owner’s wife, jumped into the pit to rescue the child, who was air-lifted to a hospital with severe injuries.
The man was arrested and is reported to be facing a charge for suspicion of attempted murder. However, the suspect was later released and deemed “unfit for interview.” The incident remains under investigation by Cambridgeshire Police’s Major Crime Unit.
The child is said to be in critical but stable condition and remains hospitalized.
