Last week, Robert Brantley was driving to a shooting range when a pint-sized kitten off the side of the road caught his eye. Brantley stopped to rescue the tiny feline when something unexpected happened…he was ambushed.
Not by anything sinister – by 12 more kittens who ran out of the tall grass and bushes by the roadway. In an Instagram post, Brantley wrote:
Left work to go to the range. Passed a baby kitten I knew wouldn’t make it through the night and the wife has been wanting a cat for the farm; figured I’d stop and rescue the thing. I backed up to get a short clip and got ambushed by the mob.
Brantley successfully herded all of the kittens into his car and took them back to his Louisiana home. With each new day, Brantley posts photos, videos and updates about the rescued crew.
Thank you to all that reached out to give advice and help with supplies. Y’all are as much of a part of this as us! The kittens are doing great and are enjoying the warm breeze as they dry off. We’ve got some more things planned for these babies so stay tuned. I’m still learning a lot of this so go easy on me
The kittens got cleaned up, and then sweetly “humiliated” with dress-ups and photo shoots.
For everyone asking for an update on the kittens! They are now being humiliated beyond belief. Heres some behind the scenes for stuff Courtney is doing for everyone asking. The big kids are back and having a blast!
He even built the kittens an adorable cattery to hang out in.
On Sunday, the first of the kittens to be adopted out were celebrated:
It’s adoption day for Michael Scott and Nala! These 2 found a real special forever home in Alexandria, LA. I am happy to see them find a good home but at the same time I’m sad to see them go. We have some more checkups and such for the other ones. Champ made it back and has medicine to take every day. The saga continues.
We’ll post more updates as we progress.
You can follow along on Instagram as Brantley continues to chronicle the kittens’ escapades until they are all adopted.
