Snohomish County, Washington – An animal cruelty investigation has been opened in Snohomish County following the death of a dog who was shot near North Carpenter Road. According to Snohomish County Animal Services, on July 16, animal control officers and deputies responded to a report of possible gunfire near North Carpenter Road in Snohomish, where they found a deceased female black Labrador mix that had sustained a gunshot wound.
The agency said the dog had white markings underneath her neck and on her upper chest, was not microchipped, and was not wearing an ID tag.
Anyone with information about the dog is asked to contact animal services:
We are asking anyone who recognizes this dog from the description and the area, or knows who the owner may be, to contact Snohomish County Animal Services.
The animal welfare agency added:
We are also seeking information from anyone who was in the area of North Carpenter Road between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on July 16, including anyone with security or dash camera footage from that area and during that timeframe, to contact Snohomish County Animal Services at (425) 388-3440 or email us at animalservices@snoco.gov.
