Fort Worth, TX – A very good girl, who is good with other dogs and loves to cuddle, will die today unless she is rescued before the day’s end. An advocate outlines the glowing attributes of this death row dog, whose name is Sophia:

Sophia is a gem. She’s dog friendly, people friendly, easy to walk, excellent with her sit, poses for pics like a champ, takes treats nicely, likes a cuddle.

In an alternate reality, Sophia would be in a home with a family who loved her. She would be cuddling with her people, going for walks, and posing for adorable social media posts.

Instead, she is just another throw-away dog. A dog let down by society and overlooked by potential adopters. A dog who is scheduled to die today because there are just SO MANY unwanted pets at the Fort Worth Animal Care facility.

Sophia has been at the shelter since September and the time in her “jail cell” has taken a toll on her emotional health. She longs to be with people – she longs to be loved. But instead, she sits, she waits, and she loses hope.

To be blunt, Sophia probably will not receive the help she needs in time. But on the off chance that miracles still exist, please make the effort to save her life by sharing her story.
