Gentle Shepherd Must Be Saved By Jan. 5 Because The Shelter Is ‘Full’

Dallas, TX – On January 5, a three-year-old German shepherd is facing an untimely, unfair demise. The dog, dubbed Sophia, arrived at Dallas Animal Services with two other dogs who have already been adopted.

The Urgent Pets of Dallas Animal Services Facebook page writes of the urgency this dog is facing:

A volunteer shared observations about Sophia:

On 1/2/24
Easy Going
Social (People)
Sophia is in the ID room with a doggie cold so I visited her to pass her some treats. She is very gentle and takes treats gently while wagging. I hope she feels better, soon!
On 12/20/23
Easy Going
Good Manners
Knows Sit
Pottied Immediately
Social (People)
Loose/Wiggly Body
Love-Bug
Wants to Cuddle
Wants to Sniff
Solicits Pets

Sophia has done nothing to deserve the death sentence she is facing. She is simply a victim of a throw-away society and an animal shelter stretched beyond its means. Please share Sophia’s information to help save her precious life!
