Friendly, Social Shepherd ‘On Notice’ At Crowded Facility

Downey, CA – A friendly, social German shepherd mix named Leandro has been put on “notice” at the Downey Animal Control facility. Last night, his advocate wrote:

72hr NOTICE
APPROVED FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION

Notes from Leandro’s time in the play yard reveal his winning demeanor:

Leandro interacted with the dogs here and there but displayed a social and friendly demeanor throughout his full assessment. At times, he was more energetic than other times. Leandro showed no concerning behavior during his assessment.

Handsome, young, and friendly are not enough to keep a homeless dog alive when space is an issue. Leandro is at the mercy of shelter capacity, and he is quickly running out of time. You can help improve his odds of survival by taking a moment to network his adoption information (via social media outlets and email).

  1. Every precious animal has the right to live a good life! NOBODY has the right to kill a dog just because the right match is not found yet…..
