Pasco, WA – A three-year-old dog named Brooke has been watching people walk past her kennel run at the Tri-Cities Animal Shelter for more than 340 days. Each time a person comes near her kennel, she watches to see if this might be the ONE who will choose her to go home with them.
But Brooke has never been the dog who was chosen. Each visitor continues on their quest for a new companion, walking by her eager face as if she were invisible.
It is a lonely life for Brooke. She wants to be someone’s companion, but with each passing day, a bit more of her hope fades away.
Brooke is deserving of love. She is still young and has years left to enjoy, but there will be no enjoyment if she cannot be someone’s beloved companion. Please give Brooke a chance…she is patiently waiting to be loved.

too bad u all don’t fly dogs to other states. I wish I could adopt her. I live in Arkansas. please let me no if she gets adopted. someone please adopt her.
There are groups that will transport dogs across the country (some 18-wheel drivers do it, for example). Just go online and you will find them.
I have two adopted girls at home (one from Kansas brought here to Seattle by a volunteer driver), and I swear that they know when someone rescues them.
Not every shelter is like that, maybe you can own her!! Email them and see if you can adopt her!! I am sure she would enjoy love from your state!!!!!!!!!
She looks like German shepherd/”pit”bull mix, and is a unique dog, sweet looking. Most people look for “cute” or “scary” or “pricey” and all dogs are way too good for those people. I sure hope Brooke’s perfect people/person come to her rescue real soon.
