Family Left Deceased Person’s Senior German Shepherds At Busy Animal Shelter

Los Angeles, CA – Two senior German shepherds are frightened and confused after being left at a busy California animal shelter by family members of their deceased owner. The dogs, eight-year-old Maya, and 10-year-old Max, are at the Los Angeles Animal Services – North Central Shelter, where they wait to be saved.

The dogs’ advocate shared their photos on social media, writing:

Both were surrendered by the family of the owner who passed away. Maya is very bonded to Max and would like to have a home together. Both are exhibiting signs of fear, anxiety and stress that they are on medicine for. Max is having a hard time catching a grip on the smooth cement in the kennels. These two poor souls need to be in a quieter environment a.s.a.p.!

Max and Maya have lost everyone and everything they ever knew. Please help them find a rescue agency or adopter who can take them in and provide them with love and care for the remainder of their life.
