HomeDog With 'Biggest Heart' Killed When Car Hit Dog Daycare Facility

Dog With ‘Biggest Heart’ Killed When Car Hit Dog Daycare Facility

Bedford Heights, OH – A dog was killed on March 31 when a car lost control and hit a dog daycare facility in Bedford Heights. The facility broke the tragic news to Facebook followers, letting them know that the daycare was temporarily closed, and a dog named Griffin had died:

In the early morning of March 31st, a car accident occurred at our facility and as a result, Camp Bow Wow Bedford Heights will remain closed until further notice. Due to the accident, we are devastated, and our hearts are broken to announce the loss of one beloved Camper, Griffin. All other dogs were evaluated by a veterinarian and received any necessary care.

The other dogs at the facility were transferred to nearby Camp Bow Wow Highland Heights or reclaimed by their families.

The facility shared thoughts about the dog who perished in the accident, writing, “Our hearts go out to Griffin’s family and friends. He was such a wonderful boy,.”

They shared a tribute from Griffin’s family:

“Griffin was the biggest boy with the biggest heart. He always wore a smile, and was so loved by his human siblings. You could often find Griffin curled up in his favorite chair, or embraced in snuggles with his brother. He loved to run around and play with his puppy sister Gracie. Occasionally, you’d find him sneaking a sock out of the laundry basket or a stuffed animal from one of the kids! This dog was sent to his family in a difficult time and was the sweetest Birthday surprise. His smile and gentle soul brought smiles to so many. Griffin, we love you and will miss you so very much.”

According to WLTX the driver of the car was not injured. Investigators are working to determine why the driver lost control.

Rest in peace Griffin.
