Kansas City, Kansas – On the fourth of July, a stray dog, terrified by the onslaught of noise from celebratory fireworks, blindly ran and fell into a filthy, 15-foot deep well. According to the Friends of KCK Animal Services, the dog sat in sewage and oil tainted water, crying in fear, until someone heard him and reached out for help.

The agency said:
Finally, someone hears your screams.
Kansas City Kansas Fire Department- KCKFD and Kansas City Kansas Police Department – KCKPD are on the scene to help you.
One of the firefighters said, “When I looked down in the well at him, he looked up at me, and his eyes said I give up”. But he held on just for a bit longer for them to get him out of that hell.
Thankfully, all’s well that ends well for this pup. The dog, dubbed Brisket because of the treat he received after being saved, was rescued.

The agency said:

This very good boy is going to need a loving home now. You can find the Friends of KC Animal Services Facebook page at this link.

Thank you to all involved in rescuing and caring for this pup. That was a great team. Let’s hope that boy gets a forever home with someone who will better protect him. Fireworks should be illegal everywhere unless it is a public city display. Those of us who have had pets who are traumatized by fireworks can attest just how horrible it is. For some sick reason many Americans seem to get such joy out of setting things off that boom and bang and show no consideration towards others.
Totally agree with everything said. It’s downright disgusting that so many people take pleasure out of tormenting animals. With all the technology available, we need to completely ban and destroy all loud fireworks and find different ways to celebrate.
Thank U so much to who rescued this poor baby! Year after year they are warned of the fear fireworks R to animals. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Heartwarming story of someone who cared. We need more animal advocates in this world we have so much cruelty. It’s nice to read about a good Samaritan.
Thank you to the person who heard the pup and contacted the Fire and Police departments who rescued him. God bless all of you for your compassion and efforts. It matters that he was not left down there to die in all that filth. Please keep up your wonderful work! You deserve all good things in life for your good deeds
I’m sure he must have hurt himself somewhere. Poor Sweet Guy. I hope he makes a complete recovery without any issues. They will have to keep a close eye on him for a while. They have come out with Noiseless Fireworks and we experienced them here in Ontario, Canada. Very Nice.. Without all that Banging and Scaring All the Animals. LOOK FOR THEM.. QUIET FIREWORKS.. They will Be a Big Seller in the Near Future!
