Houston, TX – A dog who was trapped in a shipping container for at least a week was rescued in Houston. The Pasadena Animal Shelter recounted the dog’s amazing rescue, writing:
While inspecting containers, MST3 Bryan Wainscott, MST1 Lucas Loe, MST2 Ryan McMahon, and MST3 Jose Reyes heard barking and scratching from one of the containers in the stack. Suddenly, a dog emerged when the door of the container was opened!
The shelter said that the dog was tired, hungry, and “very happy” to be rescued. The pooch has been given a name to commemorate her harrowing experience.
The shelter writes:
This brave pup, now named Connie the Container Dog, is safe and sound with @foreverchangedar. Let’s salute the heroes who not only safeguard our waters but also rescue precious souls in need.
No word on how Connie got stuck in the container in the first place…thankfully she was discovered and saved. Great job U.S. Coast Guard team members!!
