Dog Leads Police To Wandering Little Boy’s Home

LaPlace, Louisiana – Police in Louisiana are crediting a dog with helping them get a lost child back home. According to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to a call about a lost child, found wandering with a dog, near a LaPlace residence.

Officers tried to ask the boy where he lived, but due to a language barrier, their efforts were fruitless. As the officers put the boy into the patrol car, the dog took off running.

Hoping the dog might be headed toward home, some of the officers decided to follow. Luckily, their hope was correct and the dog led them directly to the child’s home.

The sheriff’s office said:

And, all is well! Officers were happy to have such a positive outcome for this incident.
