Dog Has Been Waiting For A Home For More Than 730 Days At Shelter

North Myrtle Beach, SC – A “smart and loyal” dog has spent more than two years at a South Carolina animal shelter. Her name is Fireball and she has spent more than 730 days at the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach.

Less than a week ago, the shelter announced Fireball’s two-year anniversary with them:

Today is the 2 year anniversary of Fireball coming to our shelter😥🐾❤
She’s spent 730 days waiting for a home.

According to shelter staff, the name Fireball fits this pooch perfectly. They explain:

She comes in hot and the love she has for humans burns endlessly. Fireball explodes with excitement and love every time she meets someone, and it saddens us no one has chosen her.

Adding:

Ask any staff member, volunteer or person who has met Fireball, and we all only have positive things to say about her! Prior to coming to us, Fireball had been at another shelter…this girl is long overdue to be back in a loving home!

Unfortunately, Fireball is “selective” with her friends, so other pets in her adopter’s home are not recommended.

Though Fireball may not want to share a home with other dogs or cats, there must be someone out there who is perfect for her.

You can help Fireball find a family by sharing her adoption information. If you have questions or want to apply for adoption you can call 843-249-4948 or submit an application.

Find the shelter’s Facebook page at this link.

Note: All inquiries about this dog must be made directly to the shelter. Animal Victory has no affiliation with the animal shelter or this dog. Thank you.

  2. Sometimes it helps to move dogs who have a hard time being adopted to another shelter. It is not a reflection on Fireball that she is still there and it sounds as though she is well cared for but of course, the shelter caregivers want her to have a home of her own. I have a blind and deaf 16 year old dog who is wonky on his feet so no other dogs for me right now. I will post this though on my daily petition list because one never knows what will happen.

  3. What a beautiful girl! It’s ok that she prefers a certain lifestyle! People do also. As some other dogs and cats do. I wish her a loving home soon, and a safe home. I hope potential adopters are screened to the max! 🐾🐾🐶
