Greenville, SC – A homeless dog so desperate to be with people managed to climb to the top of her shelter kennel run. The Greenville Humane Society posted an image of the German shepherd, Nala, writing:
today we’re showing off Nala’s real side. This is what we walked into this morning. Yes, her kennel has a cover on the top. Yes, she managed to get through it and climb up. Yes, she didn’t know how to get back down.
Explaining why Nala did what she did…
She just wants to be with people. A comfortable couch or a snuggly dog bed, perhaps? Anything outside of the kennel with other barking dogs – it’s just too much for her.
Though Nala is stressed at the shelter facility, the shelter staff is aware of her many positive attributes; they write:
Nala enjoys playing in the water, riding in the car, and plush toys. She’s the gentlest treat taker and is working on perfecting her leash skills. She’s been good with other dogs in play group and enjoys a casual mix of strolling around the yard and occasionally initiating play with the cutest little play bows.
Nala is desperately in need of a real home – a home where she will have the safety, stability, and companionship that she longs for. Please share her story and help her find a person to love.
