Sparta, Wisconsin – A deputy with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has been placed on administrative leave following the death of his K9 partner, Kolt. According to the sheriff’s office, Kolt suffered a “heat-related injury” on May 10, and he died from the injury on May 15.
Details of the incident leading to the six-year-old German shepherd’s death have not been released, but a full investigation is underway.
The deputy placed on leave has not been named.

These K9 cops are supposed to show younger people to respect and love their partner. I think he needs to be put in a hot car and left there close to death so he can feel the pain he made this poor dog suffered and loose his job and retirement and never own another animal.

First off is the policeman stupid. Why was he given and dog. It sounds like he was given a dog and didn’t know the first thing about a K-9 dog. The dogs go through expensive training to be an officer. He should be fired and not allowed another dog as long as he lives. He is a murderer just like the fools he arrests.
