Evergreen Lake, Colorado – A deer who found himself in a precarious position was rescued last Friday. According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials, the deer was trapped between the ice and snow-covered Evergreen Lake, and a roadway.

Fortunately for the deer, a crane truck operator was nearby and was able to assist wildlife officers in the rescue effort. The deer was sedated and placed into a “Snuggie-like” contraption before being hoisted to safety.
After being removed from harm’s way, the deer was relocated to a safer habitat. The wildlife agency Tweeted:
